GROW YOUR OWN FOOD
The cost of food is rising rapidly. More and more Americans cannot afford to feed themselves. Not only that, Americans are reliant on over-processed, artificial, and unhealthy foods that are undermining American health, and weakening communities. There are some communities that completely lack a source of healthy, fresh, whole, and locally-grown food. Unitary America seeks to change this through the United Garden Network.
WHY GARDEN?
Fresh produce is becoming increasingly unaffordable as prices continue to rise unabated. We believe that all Americans, regardless of financial ability, should have access to healthy, fresh, produce, and that this produce should be easily available. Through our community gardens, we provide a safe space for you to garden, grow your own, and help you give back to your communities. You are given complete creative control over your garden, and are allowed to grow whatever you please. The food that you grow you are entitled to (although we are always looking for donations to give back to our communities on our Harvest Day). We want to ensure all have access to gardening, and reduce those barriers to entry.
WE PROVIDE YOU THE SPACE, COMMUNITY, AND SEEDS TO GROW YOUR OWN FOOD, TO HELP FILL YOUR PANTRIES WITH HEALTHY, FRESH PRODUCE.
WE HELP YOU
You receive a garden plot, and are able to grow your own fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We help get you the training to garden properly, the seeds to start your first crop, and a community to involve yourselves within. We fix any repairs that your garden bed may need, and help coordinate with you about how to best harvest your crops. We try to ensure that your bed remains free of vandalism, damage, and wildlife. We provide a safe place for you to garden in peace, and help you alleviate the rising costs of food. We make our garden free of charge to those who cannot financially afford our supporter dues, and other exceptions. We want to include all in our gardens.
YOU HELP US
You maintain your garden bed, and grow the food within that plot. You make sure that your plot is presentable, and that your plot is well-maintained. We allow you to have complete creative control over your garden (grow what your please) although we require all gardeners to maintain their space. Some of our supporters and gardeners choose to help us via supporter dues, although we do not require these. Should you want to get more involved, you can volunteer for our other programs, help repair garden beds, or help table for Unitary America. We want to build a long-lasting, sustainable community, and we want you to be part of us.
BE INCLUDED
We are made up of average, local community members working to build a better future, promote a future that caters to our communities and our general well-being, and help inspire others to get involved. Our organization is rapidly growing, and we want to include you as much as possible. We want to ensure that no person is excluded because of their financial ability, or because of their background. We want to build communities that work for those community-members, and help make action, not words. By joining us, by becoming a gardener, you help advance our mission of building these communities, and in making our communities a healthier, cleaner, and safer place.
HOW TO BECOME A GARDENER
1. Become a Supporter
All gardeners are supporters, but not all supporters are gardeners. All gardeners are required to be a supporter of our organization. We process these requests on a first-come, first-serve basis. We have no cap on the number of supporters our organization has (we already have almost 200). Registering as a supporter takes less than ten minutes, and you will receive a confirmation email as soon as possible.
2. Complete the Garden Registration Form
Once you have your Member ID (in the confirmation email you received after becoming a supporter), you can register for a garden plot. Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Should we not have a plot available for you, we will put you on a waitlist for the summer 2027 cycle. We are planning on rapidly expanding our gardening operations that summer, as well as opening up gardens in other locations. Once you complete the Garden Registration Form, you will receive a confirmation email (and we will coordinate with you a way to pickup your seeds, should you request them). We will send you a notice when your plot is ready for planting.
JOIN THE FUTURE
We are growing fast. We need supporters. We need donors. We need volunteers. We need people. We need you. Join the future. Join a community. Join no matter what community you are from. We need you. We need people that are as committed, determined, and motivated as you. Help us build better communities.
