WE ARE TRANSPARENT.
We, Unitary America, are a transparent organization – we believe that supporters, and non-supporters alike, should be able to see who funds us, where funding goes, and what we do as an organization. We are committed towards ensuring that the American public can trust our organization, and trust that our mission is genuine. We believe in action, not words.
OUR PRINCIPLES
Through these initiatives and principles, we aim to increase transparency in our organization, while ensuring the security and safety of our organization. We are transparent, all the while protecting the privacy of individuals, and upholding basic privacy tenements. We are always working on improving our transparency, and explicitly committing ourselves to be as transparent as possible.
DONOR RESTRICTIONS
We believe that donations should be as transparent, open, and structured as possible. We require that all of our donors provide us with a Donor Form, which requires donors to disclose some personal information. We use this information to reduce fraud and ensure that all of our donors are real, verifiable people. We have robust Donor Policies to ensure full compliance with our rules. The vast majority of our donors are average Americans working to fund a grassroots organization.
DOCUMENTATION
We make any document publicly available that does not undermine our safety and stability as an organization. We are not just a faceless entity – we make public our leaders and directors (see the About Us Section for more information). We publicly release our full tax returns (Form 990) and other financial documents. Individuals can request documents not explicitly listed on our website by contacting us. We also make our newsletters publicly available.
FUNDING
This section pertains to supporters only, or donors. When you are a supporter with Unitary America, you will receive our quarterly Impact Report, which summarizes all of the programs, services, and projects that we offer. We offer key insights into our organization, additionally. You can also see how we progress and grow as an organization. We want our supporters to be as included as possible. We support you, and you support us.
